Errachidia → Merzouga Sahara (2 Days / 1 Night)

Day 1: Errachidia → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Depart Errachidia in the morning and drive through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves and dramatic gorges. Stop for photos and short walks along the way. Arriving in Erfoud, known as Morocco’s “fossil capital,” you’ll see local fossil workshops before continuing to Rissani, an ancient caravan town. By afternoon, you’ll reach Merzouga, where camels will be waiting to take you across the dunes. As the sun sets, enjoy the changing colors of the Sahara before arriving at your desert camp. Dinner, traditional music, and storytelling await around the campfire. Overnight in a standard or luxury tent.

Day 2: Merzouga → Desert Sunrise → Errachidia
Wake up early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at camp, you can choose to return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga village. On the way back, you’ll stop at panoramic viewpoints for last glimpses of the desert landscapes. Continue via Erfoud and the Ziz Valley before arriving back in Errachidia by the afternoon.
